About Me

My photo
Guerilla Gorilla
Guerilla Gorilla is a group of individuals who are dedicated to transforming and reinventing the spaces within the city of Kingston, Ontario. Guerilla art is about the reinvention of conventional spaces, usually taking the form of spontaneous public acts. Public spaces are part of our daily lives, yet there is a disconnect between these spaces and the people that frequent them. These acts are meant to combat this restricted frame of mind by changing the dynamics of these stagnant spaces. The members of Guerilla Gorilla want to create opportunities for people to participate in activities that are not motivated by self-interested consumption, that are not passive (ie: watching tv). We want to encourage stepping outside of an individualistic frame of mind and contributing to a collective one.
